In a bold move to reimagine Africa’s development trajectory, Africorp Consortium and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) have entered a game-changing partnership that places artificial intelligence and DeepTech at the heart of the continent’s industrial, agricultural, and educational transformation.

Sealed during the 2025 DeepTech Summit (DTS) held from May 8–9 in Benguerir, Morocco, the alliance aims to unlock Africa’s innovation potential by fusing scientific excellence with industry-driven solutions.

Under the theme “Redefining Progress: How AI is Transforming Deep Tech Innovation”, this year’s DTS brought together an influential network of global experts, thought leaders, and policymakers. Conversations centered on how AI is no longer merely a tool for innovation it is the engine powering a new era of progress across sectors.

Africorp Consortium and UM6P pledged to champion sustainable development by harnessing frontier technologies, enhancing skill development, and scaling innovations tailored to Africa’s unique challenges. With AI reshaping everything from mining logistics to smart agriculture and green energy systems, the collaboration promises to translate cutting-edge research into real-world impact.
